The Month of June

Since I haven't posted in a while I thought I would just combine everything from June together. We have had a busy month planting our garden, mowing the lawn, and having fun in the summer sun! Well actually we are still waiting for summer to arrive here in Fairbanks. The garden isn't doing as well as we had hoped. We haven't had many sunny days:( So posted below are some pics of Abby taken this month. Enjoy!

Abby helping us mow the lawn!

Playing in the garden. We planted Potato's, Green Beans, Peas, Onions, Califlower, Brocolii, Peppers, cabbage, tomatoes, and a cucumber.

This girl loves corn on the cob like her daddy. If you are ever around her when she's eating it be sure to keep your fingers out of her way or you will get bit!

Abby and I are part of a playgroup that meets on Friday's at various parks around town. This is a picture of her playing with her friend Aiden.

While mom was out shopping with the girls Marc and Abby spent the day together. Here she is reading the sunday paper.

Weekend in Tok

This past weekend Abby and I went to Tok with my mom and dad to visit my sister and her family. The kids had a blast playing outside. Abby always loves spending time with her cousins, I think she feels like a big kid when she is with them. Here are some pics for you all to enjoy.

Our Little Toddler

Lets just say Abby has a fasion of her own, as do most toddlers! This is a picture of her with her friends Bobby and Cal.

Here she is taking her baby (which was mine when I was a little girl) for a ride on her firetruck. When ever she see's a firetruck she says "weeooh weeooh" She loves being at the fire station with dad!

Here she was just getting tired of me taking pictures of her. We were on our way to the Fire Station for a groundbreaking ceremony for the new station addition. So I had her in a cute little dress and she insisted on wearing her cow water boots!

She is also the best little helper! Lately she has been a daddy's little girl. Here she is helping Marc clean the windows. And to be safe she insisted on wearing her tonka hard helmet. Every morning this week she asks "where daddy at" and whines.

Hope everyone is well and until next time take care!

Abby Turns Two!

We had a little get together this weekend for Abby's 2nd Birthday. Unfortunately we were unable to invite everyone we would have liked to. Our house isn't set up for too many kiddo's! Abby had a blast and enjoyed the company of the other kids. On Wednesday (her actual birthday) we are going to have some kids from playgroup come over. So we are looking forward to that. For her birthday from Marc and I she got her first pets! She now has two goldfish named Shrek and Donkey and loves them very much. Below are some pics for everyone to enjoy.

New addition to family and Happy Easter!

Yesterday at 12:46pm my sister had my little nephew Gabriel Ronin Young. He was 7lbs 5oz, 20 inches, and with an apgar of 9. He is so cute! That makes 7 grand kids for my parents and you would think it was number 1 again:) Here are some pics from this morning.

My niece Kerstin is a proud big sister!

Uncle Marc loves the babies!

Happy Easter from Abby! She wasn't allowed to be in the room with Gabriel so we will get a picture of her with him some other time.

Ice Alaska 2008

We went to Ice Alaska Friday night with Abby so she could try out the kiddie park and obviously to look at the ice sculptures. Abby had a blast, she wasn't to pleased when we had to leave though. The ice sculptures this year were not as good as we've seen in previous years due to it being so warm last week. Here are some pics from our evening. Enjoy!

Becoming a Big Girl

As of Tuesday Abby and I started swim lessons and she is doing great! It is a parent and tot class. We put back floats on her and she was holding onto a long foam tube that they call a noodle and she started to kick and was cruising around the pool in no time! Then we took the noodle away and she saw two little kids her age swimming around and she pushed me away and started to swim on her own with just a back float. The other kids have been going to swim lessons since they were 6 months, so she is catching on quick. Hopefully I will have pics soon to post of her in the pool.

She is also into brushing her own teeth, which is good I guess but she doesn't want us to help. Then it becomes a battle! So in the morning after breakfast she gets to brush and in the evenings mommy or daddy brush.

The biggest accomplishment though lately is that Abby is being potty trained and is doing awsome! Which we love because diapers are sooooo expensive and we are tired of changing them. Last week it was hanging around -40 so we decided to stay home for the week and figured it was the best time to learn! I'm still not comforatable going out without the diaper on her but while we are home big girl panties it is!

Here is a picture of Abby loving her baby dolls! She isn't just a mother to them though. Last Tuesday I watched a couple of kiddos while their mom was at the fire station for training night. Abby treated Porter like he was a little baby and was trying to feed him. He is about 15 months I beleive.

Of course she helped him eat his food too!
So a lot has been changing here with Abigail! We are all doing great and are looking forward to some spring and summer fun!
